Today is the feast of St. John the Baptist.  Christmas was placed on what was thought to be the shortest day of the year so that after Christ’s birth the days and daylight increase. John the Baptist’s feast day was placed on the longest day of the year because he must decrease so Christ can increase.  Therefore after his feast the days get shorter !

What a great message for us today. For we must decrease in our ego so that Christ can increase in us.  We also need to increase our witness for Jesus Christ in our environment. The world is so in need of this witness . Remember what we said at Cursillo.  Proclaim the gospel at all times and if necessary use words !!
