Yesterday we celebrated all the Saints including those unnamed men and women who quietly served and laid down their lives out of love for the Lord. Today on All Souls we remember our “faithful departed”. These are our spouses, our parents, our children, grandchildren and friends. Today reminds us that through baptism we are all members of the body of Christ. That is why today’s feast is such a gift.
 
As the body of Christ, God calls each one of us to his heavenly banquet. He lavished his grace on us to draw us closer to himself. Are you ready to feast at the Lord’s banquet table, or are there areas of your life that are preventing you from accepting his invitation ?
  
Today we pray for all who have died, that God’s holy and perfect love will continue to purify them so they can be fully united with the Lord. Let us pray for each other as well, that we may always seek first his kingdom and remove those obstacles that prevent us from doing his will. Let nothing keep us from his healing love.
