John the Baptist was part of God’s plan as foretold by the prophets. His task was to prepare the way of the Lord. Like Jesus, the Scribes and the Pharisees rejected him and his message. Sometimes I feel the same as John the Baptist did. I stand before the world’s problems and I want to solve them all, but I feel helpless.
Perhaps I’m not responsible for solving all the problems of the world today. So what is God’s plan for me ? I realize that God does have a plan for me and that I am a part of God’s plan.
This last week of Advent let us spend some time reflecting on what God expects of me.
What is God’s plan for me in my career?
What is God’s plan for me in my family?
What is God’s plan for me in my faith?
