As you have heard at Cursillo, Grace happens ! It happened to the apostles. During this time between Easter and Pentecost God’s grace changed ordinary men and prepared them for the day when the Holy Spirit would come down upon them. That day transformed their lives to have the courage to proclaim Jesus Christ to the world.
The same Holy Spirit that brought the apostles’ faith, lives in you. That spirit can persuade you that the Risen Christ has the power to change your life. You may say I’m not well versed enough in the Bible or in church teaching or I wouldn’t know what to say or I’m not a priest or Deacon. Well the early Christians were ordinary men and women just like us. They had families and jobs, fears and doubts, sins and failures, but God used them. He gave them his Spirit and it changed their lives.
That same Spirit is in you. That Spirit can give you the boldness to pray with a friend who is sick or encouraging words to share with someone struggling with doubt or having difficulty with this Coronavirus.
You can do it ! God delights in using ordinary people like you and me !!
