In today’s first reading we read about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego giving praise to God. What is unusual is that they did it not after they had been delivered from the fiery furnace, but while they were still in the midst of the flames!
It is natural to praise God’s greatness after we have been delivered from an ordeal. But what about extolling his greatness while we are still undergoing the ordeal!! We are undergoing a pandemic like we have never seen before in our lifetime. God always hears us even though sometime we have to endure a great difficulty such as a fiery furnace or a global pandemic. Whatever happens, as a Cursillo Family, let us always declare God’s goodness and it will come to us – in his time and according to his wisdom!
