Isn’t it amazing how good and patient God is with us. Our lack of focus, our tendency to get confused or to not listen closely doesn’t deter or hinder God. God is patient with us. He find many different ways to speak to us so we will understand.
For example, when feelings of hope or joy or anticipation well up in you as you read the scriptures, that is God speaking to you. When you are filled with wonder and praise for God as you watch a glorious sunset and colorful sky, that is God speaking to you. He speaks to me as I watch the excitement and joy over little things my grand daughters experience.
The important thing is to expect that God will speak to you. You need to learn to recognize his voice and spend time during this quarantine carefully listening to him. God’s voice is gentle, simple and quiet. This time away from our jobs and normal routine is a great time to listen. God is patient and will keep speaking until you understand what he is saying.
