Happy Holy Family Sunday to all of your families and to our Cursillo family. The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph is a source of blessing for all of us. My family is also a source of blessing, even though moments of sorrow are bound to happen. When I live with faith my role in the family, it helps brings these blessings into the world. Like the Holy Family, my family has a mission to promote God’s message in the world. Ask yourself, Is my family an example of love in my world ?
Every member of our family is important. In the Holy Family the importance of Jesus and Mary is obvious. Therefore I want to reflect on Joseph for a moment. The Pope has declared this the year of St. Joseph in the church. This proclamation comes on the 150th anniversary of St. Joseph being named the Universal Protector of the church. That’s his role in the Holy Family to be the protector of Mary and little Jesus. As such he has been declared our protector as well. What is your role in your holy family ?
