Jesus says to his Apostles today, “Do you still not understand?” There is much that we as humans will never understand about our infinite God and his plan of salvation. The best we can do is to continue the second leg of our tripod which is STUDY.
If you don’t already do this, make a plan to read at least one Scripture passage every day. Before you begin, ask the Holy Spirit to be with you. If a word or a phrase jump out at you, spend some time with that word or phrase for a while. Ask yourself what God might be saying to you through that word or phrase. Let it stay with you throughout your day. Be aware of it.
As you develop this habit of reading the “word” of God, it will help us understand more what God has planned for us his people and his plan for you personally. Trust him to make it happen. He has promised as we read in Isaiah 55:11, “his word shall not return to us empty”.
