The Hebrew word for “understanding” can also be translated as “listening”. It is why we so often talk about quieting ourselves to listen to what the Lord is trying to communicate to us. It is through this listening that we gain wisdom and insight into the Lord’s precepts.
Studying the Bible is another way to seek wisdom and understanding. Here we find truths that have stood the test of time. These ancient truths are as relevant today as they were to the people that read them centuries ago. Reading them might challenge your own perspective on life. For sure they will be different from what you hear in social media today and on television.
So put on a listening heart that is eager to understand the mind of God. The more you study his word and listen intently, the more your heart will grow in understanding. That’s what God desires for you !!
