Tomorrow marks the 48th anniversary of the tragic Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in the United States. That law effectively turned the wombs of mothers into tombs of babies.

Tomorrow the U.S. Bishops have designated the day as a day of prayer for the legal protection of unborn children. I read this prayer that I would like to share with you.

“Lord, when I think about the scourge of abortion, I get so frustrated. What would you have me do ? I want to extend mercy and healing to those who have been hurt by abortion. I want to work and pray for the legal protection of the unborn. But there are so many other issues pulling me in different directions. Your children in this world are hurting in so many ways. So many need food, shelter and basic human dignity. I want to be a faithful member of my family, my church, my neighborhood, my workplace, my nation. I want to proclaim the good news to all.”

Help me Lord !! Give me the inspiration, grace, and strength for all you have called me to do !

St.Joseph, pray for us !
DeColores, Deacon Doug
