Daily Spiritual Guide for January 22

At the time of Jesus, many were saying that God is coming to intensify the law so better get ready. Some said that God is mad and that’s bad news for all of us.
 
Then Jesus came and spoke of a God of mercy and forgiveness. He told them to reform their lives and believe in the “good news”. He even told them that God is someone that you can call Abba (or father). You can let God give you as a gift mercy and forgiveness. And stop pretending that you earned it because it is a gift just like a mother who gives all that she has to her children.
 
The people were shocked to hear that God would give away his mercy and forgiveness so freely. They said; “What kind of God is this anyway?”
 
Well it’s the kind of God we’ve got !!
