Most people enjoy a really good love story.  My wife Sheila watches the Hallmark Channel because they still have descent wholesome love stories.  In fact it’s about the only channel we both watch these days.

But the greatest love story of all time is the one of a God who took on our humanity, not as a great king, but as a tiny baby.  Then he was willingly mocked, spit upon, tortured and finally crucified, all out of love for us. How can we possible respond to so great of love ?  Can we accept and bear  our crosses as Jesus told us we must do ?

We all have crosses to bear.  Do we accept them with peace and trust and try to be as loving and merciful to those involved as Jesus is for us ? The world’s greatest love story is our love story as well.  Because God loves us first, we are able to bear our crosses with love and with the joy of a lover. That makes all the difference in the world.
