The Governor of California has shut many business again, so here we are again to ponder, where are we going. Perhaps this is a good time to ask ourselves: Is my life moving toward God, or away from Him ? Generally I think about my life pieces such as my job, my family, my social life, my health, my relationships, or my problems. I usually don’t think of my life as a whole such as: What is the fundamental Direction of my life ? Is it moving closer to God? Is it moving away from God ? Or is it just drifting ?
For sure it’s moving somewhere, intentionally or unintentionally. If you want a ship to go on course, you point the bow in the direction you want it to go. Have I set my life towards God but giving Him of my time, my talent and my treasure ? Have I set the bow of my life ship towards Him ?
So back to the intriguing question. What is the fundamental direction of my life ?
Is it moving toward God ?
Is it moving away from God ?
Is it more or less just drifting ?
