Well it’s been one year since the Coronavirus was declared a worldwide pandemic. What a journey this has been.

Today I begin a more familiar journey as I drive back to California from Arizona. It’s a long boring journey, but it is filled with faith, hope and love. I have faith my car will make it without problems. I hope to stay awake the entire time. And I love those who will be at the other end. If heading East, that’s my family and my precious granddaughters. If heading to California, it’s my friends, my parish and my Cursillo.

This journey is much like my Lenten journey, as well as the journey we call life. They are filled with faith, hope and love to get me to my destination which is eternal life with our Heavenly Father. Like most journeys they are best if not traveled alone. So let us reach out to those confined due to COVID-19 and let us pray our churches will open soon so we can continue our faith journey the way God intended.

St. Joseph, pray for us !
