At my age it’s hard to remember everything I have to do ! Thank God for cell phones and a gentle ( or not so gentle) reminder from a loved one. I still miss the days of Post-It-Notes everywhere.  Don’t laugh, they worked !

Thanks God then for our heavenly reminder which is the Holy Spirit.  During his public ministry Jesus taught his disciples a lot about the Father and about how he wants us to live our lives.  But he didn’t expect they would grasp it all at once, nor does he expect that of us.  That’s why the Holy Spirit is so important.  He comes  to help us remember all that Jesus taught and to guide us into a life that is most pleasing to the Father. The Holy Spirit acts not only as a reminder, but he also empowers us to do what Jesus taught.

Today, thanks the Holy Spirit for his work in your life.  Take a few moments to reflect on ways he is already helping you follow Jesus more closely.  Then ask him for even more love and more power to overcome sin and live a life that is even more conformed  to the life of Jesus Christ.
