Happy Ascension Thursday !!
 
The Ascension of our Lord is a feast of great hope. It is through the Ascension that we see the world is not our true home. This is a day when we lift our gaze to the heavens which is where our true destiny lies. In the busyness of our daily routines, it is easy to forget that heaven is our true home.
 
Our inheritance into heaven has been given to us. A place in heaven is ready for us. It is now up to us to live our lives in such a way that one day we will occupy that spot.
 
The celebration of the Ascension of our Lord is a much needed reminder that we are people of hope, especially in a world marred by sin, violence and death. The Ascension reminds us to pursue the joy that waits us in heaven. It leads us to seek that which is above over that which is below. We cannot enter heaven with divided hearts. We must give our hearts over completely to Christ, so that he can be our joy, and we can attain our eternal reward. It’s only possible through him !
