One of my groupies has the best guardian angel ever created. His angel helps him make every green stop light and directs him through traffic. When he talks about his angel each week at grouping, the rest of us are jealous.

All of us have someone who watched us grow up, take out first baby steps, and say our first words. The Church teaches that every one of has a guardian angel. Yet many deny or ignore that reality, so their guardian angels are unemployed. I like to think of a guardian angel like a pulling guard on a football team. They block so the runner with the ball can cross the goal line.

If we are running for Jesus, we need our guardian angels to block for us. We need them to help protect us and guide us until we cross the goal line of heaven. If we are not running for Jesus, we are forcing our guardian angels to play defense rather than offense. So get on the team for Jesus, your blockers are waiting !

St. Joseph, pray for us !
