What is true humility and why should we make it a characteristic of our lives? True humility is not feeling bad about yourself or having a low opinion of yourself or thinking of yourself as being inferior to others. True humility frees us to be our true selves. A humble person does not have to wear a mask (except for Covid) to look good to others. The humble person is not swayed by accidentals such as fame, reputation, success or failure. Most importantly, true humility frees us to love and serve others selflessly for their sake, rather than our own.

The Lord Jesus gives grace to all who humbly seek him. Grace to enable us to humbly serve as he served. In doing do we can change our world.

G.K. Chesterton said; “I want a church that does not change with the world, but a church that changes the world!”
