When you are in need, who do you turn to for help ? Your spouse, your family, your groupies ? Jesus tells us that God is always ready to answer those who seek him and call upon him with trust in his mercy and kindness. Jesus states clearly and simply what we must do: ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK.
Do we ASK the Father with expectant faith and confident trust in his
goodness ? Do we SEEK his help in time of need ? Do we KNOCK with persistence at the door of his mercy and love ?
Jesus today makes a startling claim. He says, “How much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him ?” What are you waiting
for ? Ask him ! He is your Father. He loves you and will never abandon you !
