One of the greatest gifts we have is the gift of family. God never intended us to be alone. When Adam in the Garden of Eden was lonely even though he had all creature comforts, God created a suitable helpmate for him and said, “It is not good for man to be alone”. We are social beings and need that interaction with others. I would say one of the greatest joys in my life is just being with family especially my little granddaughters. They are such a joy to watch.
In Cursillo we understand the need for support as well. We understand that to keep in contact with “like minded” Christians is of vital importance in living a life in grace. Thus the emphasis on grouping and Ultreya during our Fourth Day.
Finally in addition to our earthly family, Jesus tells us today we are a treasured member of his family. Whoever listens to his word are his Mother and brothers. The more time we spend with Jesus and the more we follow his ways, the closer we will be to him. Just like family !
