Secretariat_Strategy_MeetingDuring the Easter Vigil we enter a darkened church with the new Easter Candle. We have the new light of Christ, a newly decorated church, newly blessed oils and new Baptismal water. We start anew in the light of the risen Christ. As we enter this season of new life, your Cursillo Secretariat is hard at work planning for the long term viability of our Cursillo Movement in Orange now that we have successfully transitioned from Marywood to Divine Word. The Secretariat recently gave up a Saturday to come together to strategize the way forward for our movement. A strategic planning session under the leadership of our new Lay Director, Nick Williams met using several strategic planning tools. The first was called SWOT where we focused on our “S” strengths, “W” weaknesses, “O” opportunities & “T” threats. A session followed using “sticky” notes to discuss all aspects of our movement. These were then consolidated by major topic to come up with a list of priorities for our movement. I have attached some pictures from this day. I want to thank the Secretariat for giving up a Saturday to spend time strategizing about our future.
